My Story ๐
My passion for teaching began when I was helping international students navigate life in Beijing. I noticed that most textbooks made Chinese feel like a series of rules to memorize rather than a living, breathing language to experience. That's when I decided to do things differently.
After completing my master's degree in Chinese Linguistics, I spent several years teaching at language schools before transitioning fully to online teaching in 2015. The switch opened up a world of possibilities โ I could connect with curious learners in New York, London, Sydney, and everywhere in between, right from my home in Beijing.
Over the years, I've refined my teaching method into what I call Contextual Chinese Learning โ a blend of practical conversation, cultural storytelling, and structured grammar work that adapts to each student's life and goals. Whether you're a complete beginner wanting to impress a Chinese colleague, or an advanced learner preparing for HSK 6, I have a path for you.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me reading classical Chinese poetry, experimenting with regional recipes, or planning my next trip to introduce yet another person to the wonders of China.
